Iyanya: I Sold My RAV 4 To Shoot Kukere Video

Once its your time to shine no one can stop you.
In this recent interview, Iyanya explains how he had no money to shoot his Kukere video even after a few hit singles.
He also talks about how he sold his RAV 4 to shoot the video and went around Lagos in cabs just few months ago. That alone tells you that God can change your story in no time.
Read excerpt from the interview below..
Let me tell you something, God has blessed me with a range rover of 2010 and I have also driven 2013 and 2014 cars, it’s a blessing to me but I am not a car freak.
I still have a prado jeep that was given to me recently. i still have a fond memory of that my Rav 4 and I still wish it were right there in my garage so that I can be seeing it every day.
Let me not lie, there was a time I wanted to shoot a video and I had no money. It was kukere. I used cabs all round town just to make sure kukere video was out there.
So I was using cabs every day and people were surprised to see me in them since I used to drive a Rav 4. It was just to ensure that people keep seeing me on TV and not to forget me”

Gabon Wants to Re-join OPEC

The African nation of Gabon wants to re-join OPEC after more than two decades, two OPEC sources confirmed, becoming the second former member in a year to seek a return to the oil exporters’ group just as it is taking the first steps in years to prop up prices. If it returned, Gabon would be the smallest producer in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and bring its ranks to 14 countries following last year’s return of Indonesia, which had quit in 2008. “They sent the request to OPEC officially,” said one of the sources, an OPEC delegate.

Gabon joined OPEC in 1975 and left in 1995 over the exporter group’s refusal to grant its request for reduced annual contributions in line with the country’s small production, news reports said at the time. The move to re-join comes as key OPEC members and outside producers such as Russia are attempting to support prices through a deal to freeze output which will be discussed this weekend in Doha. The initiative has helped oil prices to start recovering from a 12-year low reached in January.

Gabon produces 200,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) according to the International Energy Agency, and output is in decline. Last year, the government launched an offshore licensing round in a bid to boost exploration.

Ways Many Men Are Unknowingly Killing Their Sperm

More and more men are finding it hard to produce these days. It is not that they are not sweating enough, or that they are “unhealthy”, but something is wrong. Though other factors contribute, damaged sperm is a major reason for many a couple’s infertility issues.
In many cases, the man’s weapon may be the reason for losing the childbearing war. Researchers have shown that a man’s lifestyle can affect the quality and quantity of his sperm, hence fertility issues.
Anyway, here are some ways men unwittingly cause the damage:

LEAVING STRESS UNATTENDED TO.
A man who is always stressed, maybe due to overworking, is inadvertently killing his swimmers. Every body function, including sperm production, is affected by stress.
Researchers found out that men with anxiety issues tend to have abnormally shaped sperm and sperm with mobility issues. Now, an immobile sperm is useless because they have to swim far to marry an egg fr conception.

DRINKING TOO MUCH.
Too much Alcohol is a big enemy of sperm. In fact, the British Medical Journal suggests that having as little as five drinks (alcohol) weekly can ‘adversely affect’ to Fluid quality.

SMOKING TOO MUCH.
Blowing the smoke always has a negative impact on sperm quality. However, a researcher says, once a man quits, his system immediately starts generating healthier sperm.

PILING UP EXTRA WEIGHT.
Being fit has a lot of advantages. Being fat lowers sperm production and can cause erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence? Losing just a little amount of weight can help.

STAYING TOO MUCH IN HOT AREAS.
Being exposed to too much heat regularly has dire consequences for a man’s sperm. A welder for example might be at risk. A man’s genital region needs to be cooler than the other parts of the body, not hotter.

ALWAYS CARRYING A PHONE IN THE FRONT POCKET.
Studies have shown that there is the radiation a mobile phone emits so close to the scrotal area causes as much a 9% drop in live sperm per Fluid sample. So it better to hold the phone or carry it in a case or, at worse, the back pocket.
If you have hopes of getting a child in the future, now might be a time to be conscious of your
lifestyle, instead of worrying later.
Alcohol, fat, smoking, stress and all the other factors must be monitored.

Speaking before the crowd, MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai made clear that the protesters were not calling for revolution, but merely fair elections. “We are not demanding an overthrow of the government… We are demanding a dignified exit for the tired Mugabe,” Tsvangirai said, adding, “It’s time Mugabe listens to the voice of the people. The people shall liberate themselves.” Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe, 92, remains active but his increasingly fragile health has sparked intense speculation over his successor and the fate of the country when his rule come to an end. more photos after the cut...

Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, at the ongoing Spring Meetings of the IMF/World Bank, on Friday, explained why the Federal Government is not excited about calls to apply for loan facility from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to tackle the economic challenges Nigeria is facing due to the slump in global oil prices Other speakers at the event included IMF Deputy Managing Director Mitsuhiro Furusawa and Rwanda Finance Minister Claver Gatete. The Minister, who was a speaker at a panel discussion on Africa titled: “Sub-Saharan Africa: Just a Rough Patch,” said Nigeria is adapting to its new realities and it is implementing fiscal policies to steer the country back on track for stable growth with a diversified economy. The policies and investment, according to her, should enable Nigeria to show positive growth in 2017. Adeosun emphasised that what the country is passing through is surmountable , adding that government is already applying a cocktail of measures to address the problem. “Nigeria is not sick and even if we are, we have our own local remedy,” the Minister said, in an apparent response to a question on why the government has refused to apply for IMF loans.

How I Got Inspired To Start My Own Cereal Business - A Nigerian shares his entrepreneurial story

It`s no longer news that we have been encouraged to diversify and look away from oil, and with the scarcity of jobs and even the way those who have a job are being laid off, I decided to give myself and others job. What did I eventually come up with? A breakfast cereal(Millet, Guinea corn, Tiger nut, Ginger) used for making porridge (pap or ogi or akamu), he said.
