Breaking: Canadian hostage John Ridsdel killed in Philippines

John Ridsdel, a Canadian citizen that was held in hostage by the Islamist militants has been confirmed dead, killed by his captors.

The Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau said in a statement he made April 25, said: "This was an act of cold-blooded murder and the responsibility rests squarely with the terrorist groups who took him hostage". He however emphasized that Canada condemn the brutality of his unnecessary death.

Trudeau, paid his condolences to the family and friends of Ridsdel.
