Organised labour and its civil society allies have resolved to embark on a nationwide strike from Wednesday, May 18, over the removal of subsidy from petroleum products announced by the federal government on Wednesday.
According to Vanguard, labour leaders will not later than Sunday send a letter to government demanding a total reversal to the N86.50 pump price of petrol before 12 am on Wednesday, otherwise the economy and other sectors would be shut down.
