Breaking: Canadian hostage John Ridsdel killed in Philippines

John Ridsdel, a Canadian citizen that was held in hostage by the Islamist militants has been confirmed dead, killed by his captors.

The Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau said in a statement he made April 25, said: "This was an act of cold-blooded murder and the responsibility rests squarely with the terrorist groups who took him hostage". He however emphasized that Canada condemn the brutality of his unnecessary death.

Trudeau, paid his condolences to the family and friends of Ridsdel.

GOP's Game of Thrones: Ted Cruz, John Kasich join forces to stop Donald Trump

Ted Cruz and John Kasich has joined forces in a last-ditch effort to deny Donald J. Trump the Republican presidential nomination.

Within minutes of each other, the pair issued statements late Sunday saying they will divide their efforts in upcoming contests with Cruz focusing on Indiana and Kasich devoting his efforts to Oregon and New Mexico. The strategy -- something the two campaigns have been working on for weeks -- is aimed at blocking Trump from gaining the 1,237 delegates necessary to claim to GOP nomination this summer.

Breaking: U.S. Embassy staff hacked to death in Bangladeshi capital

 

A U.S Embassy worker, Xulhaz Mannan, was among two men hacked to death Monday evening in Dhaka, Bangladeshi's capital. 

In a statement by the Embassy on Facebook, it was gathered that the killers of Mannan, posed as courier service personnel.

However, the U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh, Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat, has issued a statement condemning the murder and urged the government of Bangladesh to apprehend the criminals.

Delta State University (DELSU) best graduating student, Ossaiugbo Ifeanyi Marcus, who graduated with the cumulative grade point average of 4.68 from the department of Mathematics and Computer Science - was offered automatic employment as a lecturer in the institution & an overseas scholarship to pursue his postgraduate program.


The Vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. Victor Peretomode, announced this at the school’s 10th convocation ceremony in Abraka. He also assured him that the institution would bear the full cost of his overseas postgraduate studies. According to him, the university would, in compliance with the university’s vision and mission statement, continue to provide qualitative education in terms of research and innovations, teaching and learning to its students and the society in general.

Empire’s Grace Gealey & Trai Byers Got Married in Secret Island Wedding

Anika(Boo Boo Kitty) and Andre Lyon tied the knot in a private ceremony last Thursday (Apr 14) at a mansion in the Cayman Islands. While some media outlets who reported on the wedding revealed that none of Grace and Trai’s Empire co-stars attended, others are stating the exact opposite.

E! News reported: "It was a beautiful wedding filled with family and close friends. Some cast members from Empire were there. Grace looked stunning.”

TMZ reported: The private ceremony and reception went down Thursday at a mansion on Grand Cayman Island … the guest list was limited to close friends and relatives …
none of their “Empire” co-stars attended.

Grace and Trai got engaged last summer after meeting on the set of Empire . It was reported that Trai proposed to Grace back in July at her 31st birthday party.
