Jim Acosta in New York: Trump's camp ready for 'yuge' win in Indiana

The Donald Trump campaign isn't providing any proof that Ted Cruz's father was involved in the Kennedy assassination, as Trump alleged today. And they're not offering any apologies either. Trump sources tell me they feel Cruz was absolutely knocked "off his game" today. A "yuge" win as one source described it.

Just at a time when Cruz was trying to paint Trump as unfit to be president, the real estate tycoon fired off release a statement describing the Texas senator as desperate -- responding to Cruz's emotional outburst in response to the unsupported allegations about his father.
CNN has not independently confirmed the report from the National Enquirer — and there is no evidence that it is true.
As for the primary, a separate Trump source says tonight's expected win will make the GOP front-runner the presumptive nominee. But the campaign isn't shifting totally into general election mode just yet.
They don't believe they will hit the magic number of 1,237 before California. So they can't relax. And despite all the Trump VP chatter inside the Beltway, this source said there are no signs a big vetting effort is underway. As one source put it, they are still trying to get the party comfortable with Trump as the nominee.
